Musician and political/social activist Tom Morello’s stark new album as The Nightwatchman, ‘One Man Revolution,’ (April 24) is a dark, urgent portrait of a world in turmoil.

the type of music shouldnt matter he stands for abolishing the corruption that has overtaken the united states government big business runs this country and tom and zack and the other members of rage are trying to get us to unite and take back the country our four fathers fought so hard to create.
in a bunch of interviews, he says his roll in society is a political activist, but he also has interests in rock music. he says aside from shredding guitar in Rage, audioslave, and Street Sweeper Social Club (his new band), he feels the need to express his political voice someway, so he said he created this Nightwatchman alter-ego as a way to outlet his political rage. the genre of music this is called is FOLK music. Folk music emphasizes the message more than the music. no need to “be creative”
Please enlighten me.
you guys are cool
Now im going to learn this song on guitar :d,
his singing is very falsetto and the music is terribly cliche. i’m sad. i would expect a lot more creativity and interesting work from him. not some johnny cash knock off scotch rock. oh well. more power to him.
that was awsome
So many great artists that have moved me so deeply from Van Gogh, to Steinbeck, and Morello. None of them had politics that I completely understood or considered endorsing. It’s never been relevant. Why try cognitive interpretation of something so evocative? Why question the artists? Thank heavens they exist!
@TheHaz69 shut the fuck up yourself. what mileswilldo probably means is that che guevara did a lot of bad things, but there are truly both sides to a story about the pros and cons about the man. each person has there story and beliefs i guess.probably just stating his opinion about che guevara and thats fine so dont go about judging people in their beliefs.
Tom does not support the likes of che guevara what he does support is not blindly following what you are told to follow by the likes of gw bush blair and all the other liars who try to convince us that war war is a better option than jaw jaw, Winston churchill said it better than i ever could so sorry if i misquoted
prefiro ele como guitarrista…mas ateh q como cantor ele se saiu bem, musikinha legaal…
nit a movie andrelikebeach, not a movie
@MileswillDo look at all the amazing things Che done aswell
Many people use him as a symbol of revolution. But you’ll have to ask Tom himself.
i watched this movie at W W W . TV-Video . us
smash the state, hooray for the reds!
@MileswillDo fuck up you gay cunt
@MileswillDo this goes on forever, if you dont know much about che guevara besides wht they told you in grade school or from TV or people, do the research yourself. There are people on both sides of this debate.
I don’t understand, so does Tom support Che Guevara? Cause if he does I hope he realizes all the terrible things that man has done…
Serj Tankian’s lead vocalist, right?
Anyway, this is indeed something that would have been impossible for RATM, it’s something the fans just wouldn’t dig, and although it’s nothing for RATM to care about anything, this wouldn’t do too well with them… Audioslave… Might be, after some persuading, because they were musically way better. RATM was just being angry, the music was only there to support the anger. Audioslave gave the music top priority… Great song by Nightwatchman Morello!!!
fantastic!! such a power!!
the road we all have to travel, with conciousness and respect for others!!
Yea Tom can actully see, whitch I never could see him singing stuff like this while bieng in RATM and Audio slave and being friends with Serj Tankian’s Lead vocalist. Its kinda like folk music but i ma folk music fan myself, Bob Dyln, and Beck and stuff like that. But yea he doesnt sound half bad and This one is one of my favorites.
I never knew Tom could sing: )
